Mr. Harry Davis, age 75 of Monterey, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Mr. Sullivan Pershing, age 70 of Cookeville, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Mrs. Wilma Roberts, age 78 of Cookeville, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Mr. Michael Woodman, age 68 of the Cumberland Cove community of Monterey, and formerly of Bloomingdale, IL, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. His wishes of cremation are being honored, with no services held. Mr. Woodman was born Thursday, December 24, 1953, in Grant, MI, the son of the late Joseph and Evelyn Lancaster Woodman. He was a chemist, working with Agilent Technologies and formerly with Waters Association. Survivors include his wife, Julee Bretz Woodman of the Cumberland Cove community; a daughter, Emma (Andrew) Vaughn of Kennesaw, GA; son, Brian Woodman of Naperville, IL.

Mr. Randy Jay Derr, age 59 of Cookeville, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. His wishes of cremation are being honored, with memorial services to be announced at a later date. Mr. Derr was born Thursday, October 4, 1962, in Vallejo, CA, to Larry Derr and the late Nikki Wales Derr. He was an insurance broker with George Peterson Insurance Agency in Santa Rosa, CA. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge In Napa Valley, CA, and of the Presbyterian faith. In addition to his father, survivors include a son, Nicholas Derr of Monterey.

Mrs. Delta Jo Wright age 91 of Livingston, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Overton County Health and Rehab. The family has chosen cremation at her request, and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Mrs. Wright was born Sunday, March 2, 1930, in Monroe, the daughter of the late Clovis and Bonnie (McDonald) Garrett. Delta worked in education as a school teacher. Survivors include two sons, Douglas Wright and Curtis Wright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Wright.

Memorial services for Mrs. Gayona “Gail” Ruth (Gateley) Randolph, age 67 of Baxter, will be held Monday, January 24, at 6:00 p.m., in the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Mrs. Randolph passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Signature Healthcare of Putnam County. She was born Tuesday, December 28, 1954, in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of the late William Elmoe Gateley and the late Evelyn Lorene (Schroeder) Gateley. Gail was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She managed the Cookeville Shoney’s for 18-plus years. Survivors include her husband, Sam Randolph. Visitation will be held until the time of service at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Agnes Bohannon, age 77 of Monterey, will be held Tuesday, January 25, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery. Mrs. Bohannon passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Monterey. She was born Saturday, September 23, 1944, in Monterey, the daughter of the late Charles Jasper and Martha Lee Southard Threet. She worked in the cafeteria at Monterey High School, and was a member of Monterey First Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Ronnie Bohannon of Monterey, three daughters, Ronda Bohannon, Melissa Phillips, and Carrie (Scott) Holpp, all of Monterey. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.

Funeral services for Ms. Anna “Beulah” Mae Randolph, age 68 of Sparta, will be held Tuesday, January 25, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Smith Chapel Cemetery. Ms. Randolph passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, at Signature Nursing Home in Putnam County. She was born February 7, 1953, the daughter of the late John Barlow Randolph and Mirl Dillon Randolph. Anna attended Bon Air Church of God for many years with her parents. Survivors include her siblings, Helen Randolph Presley, Janice Randolph Sparks, Charles Clark, Gail Nichols, Sara Tubs, Townie Clark, and Sally Crawford. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 11:00 a.m. until service time.

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Charles Hammons, age 69 of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday, January 25, at 2:00 p.m., at Presley Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Funeral services for Mr. Don Meredith, age 83 of Cookeville, will will be held Tuesday, January 25, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Meredith passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born October 19, 1938, in Jellico, the son of the late Arlie and Louise Stiff Meredith. He was the owner and operator of Meredith Tree Company. Survivors include two sons, Christopher Meredith and Cory Meredith, both of Cookeville; three daughters, Carrie (George) Sumnik of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, Cheryl Flatt of Gainesboro and Dawn (Jessica Eaton) Meredith of Sparta. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Jean Mabery Meredith. Visitation will be held Monday, from 3:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m.

Funeral services for Mr. Guy “Lynn” Ramsey, age 57 of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday, January 25, at 2:00 p.m., at Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial  will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Baxter. Mr. Ramsey passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born Monday, May 25, 1964, in Cookeville, the son of Roy Ramsey and the late Mary Frazier Ramsey. Lynn was the owner of B & R Concrete. He had the biggest heart, helping anyone. He was the hardest worker most have ever seen. Although he had a small frame, he was very strong, and people throughout the country sought him out. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m.

A memorial service for Mr. James “Buddy” Nash, age 77, of Sparta, will be held Tuesday, January 25, at 6:00 p.m., at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Mr. Nash passed away Friday, January 21, 2022, in Sparta. He was born February 10, 1944, in Sparta, the son of the Late Willie and Pearl Nash. Buddy was a loving husband and father, loved playing golf and being around people. Survivors include his wife, Janie O’Dell Nash of Sparta; a daughter, Cyndi (Joey) Bryant of Sparta; a son, Jason (Ashley) Nash of Dallas, GA, The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, please send all monetary donations to White County Middle School, attention Laycee Strong Scholarship.

Funeral services for Mrs. Billie Jean Wallace, age 80 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, January 26, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Mrs. Wallace passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born April 19, 1941, in the Zenith community of Fentress County, the daughter of the late Willie Doyle and Edna Baldwin Wallace. She was a graduate of Algood School. Mrs. Wallace was employed at Teledyne-Stillman. She was devoted to her family and was an excellent homemaker and cook. She was a member of Algood Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Mark Wallace and Mike (Tammy) Wallace, both of Cookeville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Kyle Allen Wallace. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. until service time.

Funeral services for Mr. Allen Milton Griffin, age 69 of Cookeville, will be held Wednesday, January 26, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Peeled Chestnut Cemetery. Mr. Griffin passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022, at NHC of Cookeville. He was born May 25, 1952, in White County, the son of the late Cliney and Bertie Dilldine Griffin. He was an electrician, plumber and carpenter. He was an avid fisherman and guitar player.  He enjoyed singing and visiting with friends and neighbors. Milton also founded and pastored the Life Through the Cross Church in Sparta for four years before his health declined. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Paulette Prater Griffin; three daughters, Stephanie (David) Sherman, Tena (Jason) Stamper, and Toni Crawley; one son, Justin (Candy) Griffin of Sparta. In addition to his parents, Mr. Griffin was also preceded in death by a son, Shawn Patton; daughter, Angela “Dillie” Griffin; grandson Bret Michael Sherman. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Hunter Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jacqueline Johnson, age 79 of Livingston, will be held Wednesday, January 26, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Hall Funeral Home of Livingston. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Allons. Mrs. Johnson passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, at her residence. She was born February 8, 1942, in Hickman Co., the daughter of the late Jack and Fannie (Sealy) Davidson. Jacqueline was employed by Tennessee Tufting in Nashville for 18 years. She enjoyed her family, spending time on her computer, she enjoyed cooking and doing art work, and living life to the fullest. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Lewis K. Johnson; two daughters: Kimberly Stewart and her boyfriend, Jackie Light, of Nashville, and  Monia Johnson (Bo) Jackson of Rickman. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Funeral services for Mr. Herman “RT” Robbins, age 82 of Livingston, will be held Wednesday, January 26, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Robbins passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born February 10, 1939, in Overton County, the son of the late Dallas and Emma Handy Robbins. Herman worked for many years for the City of Livingston Water Department. The family will welcome friends Tuesday, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Marie Fowler, age 82 of Cookeville, will be held Friday, January 28, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Fowler passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, at her home. She was born Sunday, March 26, 1939, in Nashville, the daughter of the late Earnest Monroe Estes and the late Annie Olene (Dunnagan) Peyton. Elsie was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She never met a stranger and was always giving out her sweet hugs. She was known to take care of everyone she knew and some she didn’t know. Survivors include three children, Marcia Gibson, Jeff (Dorothy) Fowler, and Tommy (Tina) Fowler. In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Fowler; a son, Johnny Estes. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Friday, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.

Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia S. Ferguson, age 80 of Livingston, will be held Saturday, January 29, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Hall Funeral Home of Livingston. Burial will follow in Paran Cemetery. Mrs. Ferguson passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at her residence. She was born Friday, January 9, 1942, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of the late Louis and Susie (Rausch) Ehninger. Patricia was a loving wife and mother to her children. She loved her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Harold Ferguson of Livingston; two daughters, Jodi Meade of Columbia and Jill Daniels of Detroit, MI. The family will receive friends Friday, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Caris Hospice in memory of Mrs. Ferguson.

Funeral services for Mr. George Frederick Weber, Jr. age 86 of Sparta, will be held Saturday, January 29, at 11:00 a.m., at Sparta First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Mr. Weber passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, at his home. He was born July 24, 1935, in Henryetta, OK, the son of the late George Frederick Weber Sr. and Anna Louise Swanson Weber. George was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in English and Geology, and his Master’s degree in Education. He was a proud member of the OU marching band, serving as band president, then voted “outstanding bandsman” by his peers in 1958. George marched with the band at multiple Orange Bowl tournaments, and was always eager to share the Sooner football team’s 47 consecutive wins and 2 national championships during his time in the band. He remained an avid Sooners fan his entire life. George met his future bride, Jo Ann Parker, at the Wesley Foundation on the OU campus in 1959. After they married, he served two years in the United States Army, training in the artillery unit at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. In 1962, George and Jo Ann moved briefly to Ohio, then to Michigan where he worked for 25 years as a teacher and administrator with the Birmingham Public Schools. He enjoyed teaching American literature, Shakespeare, and writing, and frequently shared stories of his students’ antics. George was an avid gardener and spent summers planting and tending beautiful flower gardens at their home. After retirement, George and Jo Ann moved to Sparta and immediately became involved in the community. George was a 20-year member of the Sparta Rotary Club. He was on the board at the Sparta-White County Senior Center, and served as president of the Friends of the White County Library. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Sparta where he sang in the choir and served on numerous church committees. Survivors include two children, Emily (Art) Hayden of Hamilton, MA, and G. Andrew Weber of Tenants Harbor, ME. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Jo Ann Parker Weber. There will be no visitation prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Friends of the White County Library, the Sparta-White County Senior Citizens Center, or to the First United Methodist Church of Sparta.

Funeral services for Mrs. Palmina “Polly” Catherine Aldous, age 94 of Nashville and formerly of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, January 29, at 12:00 p.m., in the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Aldous passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Brookdale Belle Meade Assisted Living. She was born Saturday, April 9, 1927, in Sharon, PA, the daughter of the late John Brake and the late Carmella (Cinicolla) Brake. Polly was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was known for her gourmet cooking especially her Italian cuisine. Survivors include three children, Keith (Janet) Aldous, Jane (Bill) Thomas, and Elaine Aldous. In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by her husband, George Clarence Aldous; a son, Pat Aldous; grandson, Aaron Aldous. Visitation will be held Saturday, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Tennessee or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Memorial services for Mr. Michael Paul Rainey, age 51 of Bloomington Springs, will be held Saturday, January 29, at 4:00 p.m., at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Mr. Rainey passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born May 10, 1970, in Rockledge, FL, the son of Paulette Martin Rainey and the late Larry Wilburn Rainey. He was employed by HVAC as a service tech for over 25 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Melanie Rainey of Bloomington Springs; a son, Paul Rainey of Brandon, FL; two daughters, Marissa Rainey and Mallorie Rainey, both of Bloomington Springs. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Mallorie Rainey Education Fund by contacting the funeral home.

Celebration of Life services for Mr. James Paul “Pete” Ray, Sr., age 65 of Cookeville, will be held Sunday, January 30, at 4:00 p.m., at the Dyer Chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Mr. Ray passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born June 17, 1956, in Livingston the son of the late Sam and Bonnie (Ray) Ray. He was a retired mechanic, working on cars and tire repair. Pete enjoyed fishing, football, TV westerns and NASCAR racing. Survivors include a daughter, Tara (James) Williamson of Inman, S.C.; son, James Paul (Constance) Ray, Jr. of Murfreesboro. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vonda Roberts Ray. The family will receive friends Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
