Obituaries For Wednesday, August 17

Ms. Becky Stults Jones, age 67 of Monterey, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Mr. Donald Beecham, age 84 of Cookeville, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at his home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Memorial services for Mr. Joseph “Joe” Peter Giaculli, age 65 of Baxter, will be held Thursday, August 18, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Mr. Giaculli passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born Sunday, January 13, 1957, in Schenectady, NY, the son of the late Paul Giaculli and Ruth (Kinglands) Giaculli Lewis. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Gloretta Chism-Giaculli; three children, Erica Hughes, Samantha Chism – Giaculli (Ethan Hall), and Joey Giaculli. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Graveside services for Mrs. Patricia Ann “Pat” Jones, age 86 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, August 18, at 2:00 p.m., at James Bohannon Cemetery. Mrs. Jones passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at her home. She was born Saturday, November 18, 1935, in Hoffman, NC, the daughter of the late Newell and Emma (Seago) Hutchings. She was a member of Rocky Point Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Janette (Don) Gentry of Cookeville; a son, Donnie (Margie) Jones of Cookeville. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee “Bob” Jones; a son, Mark Jones.

A visitation for Mrs. Mattie Roth age 96 of Cookeville, will be held Thursday, August 18, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Michigan. Mrs. Roth passed away Saturday August 13, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born September 29, 1925 the daughter of the late Jimmy and Sarah (Pressley) Lyles. Mattie was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Roth; a son, Donald Roth; a daughter, Theresa Roth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Celebration of Life services for Mr. Bill Davis, age 84 of Sparta, will be held Thursday, August 18, at 7:00 p.m., at Hampton’s Crossroads Baptist Church. Mr. Davis passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service, at the church.

A private graveside service for Mrs. Mildred Lucile “Mimi” (Brown) Boutwell, age 90 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, August 20, in Decatur, AL. Mrs. Boutwell passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022, at her residence. She was born June 8, 1932, in Butler County, AL, the daughter of the late Thomas Clarence and Lucile Crum Brown. Mildred attended Georgiana High School in Georgiana, AL, then graduated from Calhoun College in Decatur, AL with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science with a Major in Medical Records Technology. She worked for Charter Retreat Hospital in the medical records department and was a member of Decatur First Baptist Church. In 2012, Mildred moved to Cookeville to live closer to her daughter and family. She attended Cookeville First Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Kenneth Rowland Boutwell, Jr. of Mason, OH; a daughter, Nancy Lucille Boutwell (Nelson) Forrester of Cookeville. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Kenneth Rowland Boutwell, Sr.

Funeral services for Mrs. Caroline Terry Lowe Brown, age 91 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, August 20, at 1:00 p.m., at Collegeside Church of Christ in Cookeville. Burial will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Mrs. Brown passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, in Cookeville. She was born December 27, 1930, in Cookeville, the daughter of the late Robert W. and Mary Alice Whitson Lowe. Survivors include two daughters, daughter Alice Whitson Brown of Cookeville and Caroline “Carrie” Brown (Greg) Stefaniak of Chattanooga; a son, James Fearon Brown of Redmond, WA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry (Harry) S. Brown. Visitation will be held Friday, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Whitson Funeral Home, and Saturday, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service, at the church.

A Celebration of Life service with military honors for Mr. Bryan Lee Colson, age 52 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, August 20, at 5:00 p.m., in the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Mr. Colson passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022, due to a tragic motorcycle accident. He was born Saturday, August 8, 1970, in Cookeville, the son of Terry Lee Colson and Glenda Vee (Conley) Hagan. Bryan attended Cookeville High School and Tennessee Tech University. He served in the United States Army at the Fort Irwin National Training Center near Barstow, CA, and was a Gulf War veteran. Survivors include his wife of ten years, Lori (Tinch) Colson; a daughter, Kayla (Nathan) Brown; a son, Colby Booker. Visitation will be held Saturday, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
