Obituaries For Thursday, May 19

Ms. Freida Gail Toney, age 62 of Cookeville, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. The family has chosen cremation, and no services will be held. Ms. Toney was born December 18, 1959, in DeLand FL, the daughter of the late Fred and Inez Whatley Scott. Survivors include two sons, Dylan Scott of Cookeville and Benjamin Toney of Colorado; a daughter, Amber Toney of Lebanon.

Mr. William Scott Heinrich, age 75 of Gainesboro, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at his residence. The family has chosen cremation, and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Heinrich was born May 17, 1947, in Jackson County, the son of the late Lewis Arnold Heinrich and Dorothy Margaret Draper. He was a special education school teacher, and served in the United States Army 173rd Airborne Division. He served in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart. Survivors include his wife, Clarita Antolin Heinrich of Gainesboro; two daughters, Emily (Josh) Heinrich Carwile and Bonnie Heinrich, both of Cookeville. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, in lieu of flowers.

Mr. Shawn Paul Reynolds, age 44 of Monterey, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mr. Reynolds chose cremation, and a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. He was born Thursday, May 26, 1977, in Cookeville, the son of the late Roger Dale Reynolds and the late Carolyn Dean (Allen) Reynolds. Shawn was a loving son, brother, proud father, and friend. Survivors include two sons, Dakota Paul Reynolds and Jordan Brian Reynolds.

Master Silas Gabel Flatt, the son of Daniel and Halie Beason Flatt of the Heard Ridge community of Overton County, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In addition to his parents, survivors include a brother, Titus Flatt; grandparents, Dale and Lydia Flatt of the Flatt Creek community, and Darrell and Donna Beason of the Heard Ridge community.

Funeral services for Mrs. Marion Louise Price, age 84 of Cookeville, will be held Friday, May 20, at 11:00 a.m., at Double Springs Community Church. Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Price passed away Monday, May 16, 2022, at Quality Center for Rehab and Healing in Lebanon. Visitation will be held Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper, Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home, and Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service, at the church.

Funeral services for Mr. Clodus Randolph, age 90 of Cookeville, will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m., at the Dyer Chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Burial will follow in West Cemetery in the Burgess Falls Community. Mr. Randolph passed away Monday, May 16, 2022, at his home. He was born November 23, 1931, in Putnam County, the son of the late Sam and Vina Bumbalough Randolph. He was the owner of Clodus Randolph Farm in the Double Springs community and Belle Acres Golf Course of Cookeville and Cumberland Bend in Gainesboro. He was a avid golfer and cattleman, and a member of Samaria Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Lou Duke Randolph of Cookeville; a daughter, Sandra McCloud; two sons, Duane (Marsha) Randolph and Raymond (Sue) Randolph, both of Cookeville; two stepchildren, Linda Clemons and Kenny Clemons. Visitation will be held Friday, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorial services for Ms. Shirley Ann (Allen) Murray, age 72 of Gainesboro, will be held Saturday, May 21, at 1:00 p.m. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. The family has chosen cremation. Ms. Murray passed away Monday, May 9, 2022, in Cookeville. She was born August 10, 1949, in Dayton, OH, the daughter of the late Ray Allen and Evelyn Hughes Allen. She was a CNA. Survivors include a son, Parnell Wilson of Miamisburg, OH; a daughter, Lisa M. Arias Fernandez of Dayton, OH; a stepson, Danny Murray of Troy, OH. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 21, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society.

Funeral services for Mr. Wendell H. Wilson, age 84 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, May 21, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Wilson passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born August 6, 1937, in Russell Springs, KY, the son of the late Junnie and Ona (Meeks) Wilson. Wendell worked for Commonwealth Insurance for 30 years, and attended New Beginning Assembly of God. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Jean (Eakes) Wilson; two daughters, Teresa (Daryl) Watts of Fresno, CA, and Robyn (Randy) Warren of Cleveland; two sons, Darren (Renée) Wilson of Cookeville and Scott (Julie) Wilson of Maryville. Visitation will be held Friday, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Celebration of Life services for Mr. James Marshall Hancock, age 71 of Livingston, will be held Monday, May 23, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hancock Cemetery at a later date. Mr. Hancock passed away Friday, May 13, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born September 25, 1950, at his home in Monroe, the son of the late Walter and Veachel Beaty Hancock. James was a family man who enjoyed fishing and listening to Bob Seger. Survivors include a daughter, Sydney Hancock of Clarkrange; two sons, Scott (Chasity) Hancock of Monroe and Nathan Hancock of Livingston. Visitation will be held Monday, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Celebration of Life services for Mr. William “Willie” Hill Johnson, age 68 of Cookeville, will be held Sunday, May 29, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Mr. Johnson passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born Tuesday, August 4, 1953, in Cookeville, the son of the late Herschel Buford Johnson and the late Mattie Mae (Myers) Johnson. William was a loving son, brother, father, Pa Willie, uncle, and friend. He loved all sports, playing cards, figuring out sports statistics, being an animal lover, gardening, western books, and movies. He was a wonderful athlete, created a men’s basketball league, and played baseball. Survivors include a daughter, Kelly Johnson (Tony York). Visitation will be held, Sunday, May 29, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cookeville Putnam County Animal Shelter.
