Mr. Don Norris, age 78 of Cookeville, died Thursday morning, July 9th at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Arrangements for Mr. Norris are incomplete.

Mrs. Carol Ransom, 67 of the Bloomington Springs Community, died Wednesday July 8, 2020 at 5:05 pm at her home. Arrangements are incomplete.

Mrs. Flatt Was Born On August 12, 1949, In Monterey To The Late Eugene And Kathryn Melton Garrett. Mrs. Flatt Passed Away On Tuesday, July 7, 2020, At The Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Flatt Was A Homemaker. She Is Survived By, Child, Jennifer Snelgrove Of Shelbyville, 2 Brothers, Roger Garrett Of Bluffton, IN, James Garrett Of Cookeville And Caregiver, Rena Jackson Of Jackson County.

Funeral Services For Gaskel Buckner, Age 88, Of Monterey, Will Be Conducted On Friday, July 10, 2020, At 3:00 PM From The Chapel Of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Eugene McCowan Will Officiate With Interment To Follow In The Welch Memorial Cemetery With Full Military Honors Provided By The Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Buckner Was Born On November 29, 1931, In Monterey To The Late Coleman And Nina Wilson Buckner. Mr. Buckner Passed Away On Tuesday, July 7, 2020, At Life Care Center Of Crossville. He Was A United States Korean War Army Veteran. He Is Survived By, 1 Son And Daughter-In-Law, Rev. Jerry And Connie Buckner Of Monterey, 1 Granddaughter, Amanda Holman Of Monterey, 1 Great Grandson, Riley Holman Of Monterey, 3 Sisters And Brothers-In-Law, Beatrice And James England Of Monterey, Roxie And Bill Swafford Of Chattanooga, Linda And Vardon Simcox Of Chattanooga. In Addition To His Parents, He Was Preceded In Death By His Wife, Thelma Jean Isabell Buckner. The Family Will Receive Friends At Goff Funeral Home On Friday, July 10, 2020, From 1:00 PM Until Time Of Services At 3:00 PM.

Graveside service and interment for Donna Sue Rhoton, 58 of Cookeville, will be Saturday, July 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Nash Cemetery. Bro. Marc Burnett and Bro. Gary West will officiate. Mrs. Rhoton died Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born December 5, 1961 in Overton County to the late William Cordis Ledbetter and Ann Louis Ferrell Ledbetter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Herman Rhoton who died February 5, 2017, brothers Barry Joe Ledbetter and William Steve Ledbetter. Due to COVID-19 precautions, social distancing measures will be observed. Donna retired from UCDD as a Bookkeeper and was a caregiver. She was a member of Colonial View Baptist Church. Survivors include daughters: Lora Rhoton of Baxter, Mandy (Robert) Young of Cookeville, Erica (Ryan) Francescon of Nashville, sons Harold Rhoton, Richard (Billie) Rhoton all of Baxter, sister Kathy Randolph of Baxter, brother Richard (Karen) Ledbetter of Cookeville, grandchildren: Lindsey (Derek) Holloway, Heather Rhoton, Alexa (Nicholas) Barnett, Katie Davis and Kolton Young. Funeral services for Mr. Larry Gene Barnes, age 82 of Jamestown, will be held on Saturday July 11, 2020 at 11 AM from the King Mountain Freewill Baptist Church in Fentress Co with burial to follow in the Bolestown Cemetery in Pickett Co. the family will receive friends at the church on Saturday morning the 11th at 9 AM till service time. Officiating the service will be Bro. Danny Simpson.

Graveside services for Margaret Dee Dietz, age 86 of Cookeville, will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Bro. Bobby Floyd will officiate. Mrs. Dietz passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Margaret Dee Dietz was born on April 10, 1934 to the late Buster and Edna Hawkins Coffelt. She was of the Baptist faith, and member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church.

Memorial services for Roger Hawke, 85 of Upton Kentucky, will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday July 11, 2020 at Crest Lawn Funeral Home. He passed away Monday July 6, 2020. Born Saturday, August 18, 1934 in Upton, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Clyde Hawke and the late Ester Meers Hawke. He was a Veteran of the Korean War. Surviving Daughters are Linda Shannon and Gina Hawke. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Robert James Furman Sr., age 77, of Sparta will be help at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 11 at Thurman Funeral Home. Interment will be at Plainview Cemetery in Cassville. He passed away on July 3rd at his residence in Sparta. He is survived by his sons, Robert James Furman Jr., William Thomas Furman, and Jesse Wayne Furman, Shelby Randolph; brothers Walter Furman, and Fred Furman; sisters, Margret Doyle, Laura Paulick; granddaughters, Jessica Furman, Madisyson Furman, Rachel Furman, Renae Furman, Rebekah Furman, and Christine, Graci Furman; great grandbabies, Macie Troglen, and Khilee Cunningham. The family will accept visitors on Saturday, July 11, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM in the chapel of Thurman Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Linda Maxwell, 77, of Cookeville, will be Saturday, July 11 at 2 PM at Dyer Funeral Home. Bro. Ronnie Birdwell will officiate. Interment will follow in Cookeville City Cemetery. Friends are invited to come by the funeral home to sign the guest book and pay their respects on Saturday from 12 pm to 2pm at the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home. Due to Covid-19 precautions, social distance measures will be observed. Mrs. Maxwell died Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at NHC Healthcare of Cookeville. She was born September 28, 1942 in Cookeville, TN to the late Frank Amon Minnear and Betty T. Kirby Minnear. Linda was a 1960 graduate of Central High School and was of the Church of Christ faith.

Funeral services for Bobby Joe Stafford, 77, of the Fairview community of Jackson County, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Anderson – Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro. Burial will follow in the Stafford Family Cemetery in the Fairview community of Jackson County. He passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020, at NHC Healthcare in Cookeville with his daughters by his side. He was drafted into the United States Army in October of 1966, and proudly served his Country for 2 years. Special thanks to his friends at NHC Healthcare of Cookeville who provided excellent care and friendship during his multiple visits over the years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Veterans Honor Guard or Wounded Warriors Project by contacting the funeral home. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 P.M. – 8 P.M., and Sunday from 1 P.M. until time of services.
