Peggy J. Russell, 81 of Gainesboro, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at her residence in Gainesboro. Peggy born January 24, 1942, in Elkhart, IN. She was the daughter of the late Orville Charles Inbody and Lavon Evelyn Wideman Inbody. On June 10, 1978, she was married to William C. Russell, who survives. She worked as a secretary for the American Cancer Society in Elkhart, IN, and was a member of the Gainesboro First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Sister: Nancy Rae Meyer. Survivors include her Husband: William C. Russell of Gainesboro; Son: Mel Cranmer of South Bend, IN; Brother: Tyron Lee Inbody of Dayton, OH; and Sister: Linda Lou Fedak of Bloomington Springs. The family has chosen cremation, with memorial services to be held at a later time at the Gainesboro First United Methodist Church.

Graveside Services for Mr. David Scott Cooper, age 59, of Livingston will be conducted 10 a.m., Friday, May 26, 2023, from the Overton County Memorial Gardens. Bro. Robert Cooper will officiate. Scott passed from this life on Wednesday morning, May 24, 2023, from the Livingston Regional Medical Center. He was born in Livingston on February 29, 1964, to Marion Cooper and the late Lora Ann Speck Cooper. Scott was a member of the Livingston Church of Christ and a 1982 graduate of Livingston Academy. He enjoyed watching Me TV, Westerns, Politics, Tennessee Titans, and U.T. Football. His family was very important to him, especially his late mother, and family gatherings with his cousins. Scott leaves behind his father, Marion Cooper of Livingston; sister, Donna Boles and husband Mark of Hilham. In addition to his mother, Scott was preceded in death by his nephew, Josh Whalen. The family will welcome friends at the graveside service.

Funeral Services for Wilma Faye Smith, age 94 of Sparta, will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home located with the Rev. Derrick Coble officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. She passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born Monday, May 6, 1929 in Sparta. She was the daughter of the late John and the late Lena Hedgecough Rice. In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Smith, and her brothers John B. Rice, Jr., and Donald Earl Rice. Surviving family members include: Brother- Malcolm Kyle Rice (Bernadette) of Memphis; Niece- Connie Sparkman (Robert) of Myrtle Beach, SC; Several other nieces, nephews, many friends, and neighbors also survive. Faye was a long-time cosmetologist serving the people of White County. She attended West Sparta Church of Christ which she considered to be her special church family. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the services at the funeral home.

Memorial services for Connie Ann Strong, 53 of Cookeville, will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 12 Noon at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, with Bro. Jimmy Anderson officiating. The family has chosen cremation. She was born September 30, 1969, in Dayton, OH, and she passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023. She was the daughter of the late John Edward Thomason and Joyce Ann Thomason. She was a CNA, and a resident of Cookeville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Brother: John Thomason. Survivors include her Son: David Hadynski II of Nashville; Daughters: Ashley Hadynski (John) Hamlet of Cookeville, and Allison Brooke (Drew) Dycus of Knoxville; Brother: Jason Thomason of Gainesboro; Sister: Rena Scott of Hilham; and Grandchildren: Rylee, Oakley, Owen, Cole, Brielle, Duke, Duncan, and Grantley. Visitation will be Friday, May 26, 2023 from 10 A.M. until time of services. Memorial donations may be made to Suicide Prevention by contacting the funeral home.

Funeral services for Mr. Micky Wayne Mace, age 70 of Baxter, a native of White County, will be conducted 1:00pm Friday, May 26, 2023 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors by the Veterans’ Honor Guard will follow in Jericho Cemetery. He passed away at 3:20am on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Micky was born January 31, 1953 in Sparta to the late Johnny and Beulah Dillon Mace. He was a longtime mechanic at Hunter’s Auto Salvage in Cookeville. Micky served his country in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by the mother of his children Diane Goldsmith; sisters Lucy Dockery, Betty Forstner, Nancy Cantrell and brother Herbert Mace. Survivors include his children Mindy Mace, Matthew Mace and Mike Kreiger; Grandchildren: Nathen Mace, Brittany Daniels, Alex Daniels, Mickenzie Daniels, Sean Nelson,II, Alyssa Kreiger, Tyler Henry and Travis Henry; Former wife and caregiver Deborah Mace; Step-children: Bradley Randolph and Data (Eric) Cleghor; Sisters: Doris (Wesley) Ward, Millie (Tim) Ashburn, Wilma Thrower and Lennie Montgomery; Brothers: Ricky Mace and LeRoy Mace; A host of nieces and nephews also survive; Man’s Best Friend: Harley. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Friday at Hunter Funeral Home.

Graveside services for Bonnie Jean Rivera, age 76 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023 beginning at 10:00 am at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville. Inurnment will follow at the cemetery. She passed from this life Saturday, April 29, 2023, Born Sunday, May 26, 1946 in Compton, California , she was the daughter of the late Robert Lazalier and the late Jean Bartlett Sisler. Bonnie is survived by: 3 children: Renee Claborn Bennett and husband, Chip, Darrin Rich and wife, Jennifer; 2 step children, Trent and Rebekah) Jesse Rich and wife, Pam; 2 grandchildren, Ellen Rich and Taylor Claborn; 1 sister: Caroline Humphrey; 1 sister in law, Melody Lazalier; And several nieces and nephews.

Abbott age 65 of Livingston, will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 11 AM from the Chapel of Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with burial to follow at the Miller Cemetery in Livingston. She passed from this life on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the Overton Co. Health and Rehab. Mrs. Helen Abbott was born in Livingston to the late Joe Bud Cantrell and Ruby Jean Dishman Cantrell on Thursday, August 15, 1957. Helen was loved by all her family and friends and she will be greatly missed. Survivors: Husband: Randall Abbott; 2 Sons: Adam Abbott and Micheal Abbott; Brother: David Cantrell; Sister: Betty Lou Bailey; Grandkids: Amidala Mancuso, Noah Abbott, Ben Abbott, Sara Simons, Anthony Simons, Savanna Abbott, Connor Abbott, Sarah Calin, and Valrie Larsen; A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends also survive. Funeral Service for Marion Oneil Prigmore, 91 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 12:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Andre Massengile officiating. Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery. She passed from this life on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Heart of Mary House in Nashville. Marion was born Saturday, October 31, 1931, in Buffalo Valley, and she was the daughter of the late Isaac Lamberson and the late Ladion (Stanton) Lamberson. Marion was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She attended McClellan Avenue Church of Christ for many years, was very devoted to her church family, and loved to read her bible. She worked for Cookeville Regional Medical Center for 25 years as a housekeeper. She loved to watch professional football and it didn’t matter what team was on. She enjoyed sitting on the front and back porch bird-watching. She loved to shop, especially at Goodwill. For any church event that she was going to, she had to be early and the first one there. “I Want Your Running Shoes, So I Can Run Out Of Here” “When You Do Right In The Lord, Good Things Will Happen” Marion is survived by, 4 Daughters, Angelia Darlene Myers, Petrice Brannon, Renee Onwu and her husband Charles, and Cynthia Prigmore; Step-Son, Benny Myers, and his wife, Marissa; 10 Grandchildren, 3 Step-Grandchildren; 3 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild; Devoted Granddaughter, Veronica Prigmore; Special Nieces, Vivian Brown, and Tammy Bumpus; Special Friend, Carol Cannon; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. In addition to her parents, Marion was preceded in death by, Husband of 53 years, Charles Prigmore; 3 Sons, Carlos, Cetric, and Nathan Prigmore. Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023, from 11:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

Buck age 53 of Livingston, will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 5 PM from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Livingston the family has chosen cremation after the services. He passed away from this life on Tuesday morning, May 23, 2023 at the Overton Co. Health & Rehab. Mr. Brian Buck was born in Lawton, OK on Friday, September 5, 1969 to Jerry Buck and Susan Ferrell Buck. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Survivors: Father: Jerry Buck; Mother: Susan Buck; 2 Sons: Austin Buck and Noah Buck; Grandson: Rowan Dirkson; Mother of his Children: Christy Buck; Sister: Misty Buck; Niece: Bailey Buck; A host of other family and friends also survive. A graveside service for Mr. Danny Bilbrey age 61 of Crossville, will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 2 PM at the Love Joy Cemetery in Monterey, TN. Bro. David Harris will be officiating the service. He passed from this life at the Cookeville Regional Hospital on Tuesday evening, May 23, 2023. Mr. Danny Bilbrey was born in Monterey on Sunday, November 23, 1961 to the late Richmond Bilbrey and Gracie Ledbetter. Bob was a hard workingman and he loved his family very much whom will miss him greatly. Preceded by: Father: Richmond Bilbrey; Mother: Gracie Ledbetter; Stepdad: Leon Ledbetter; Niece: Sarah Conner. Survivors: Son: Jeremy Bilbrey; Granddaughter: Chloe Bilbrey of Crossville; 3 Brothers: Roger and wife Leslie Bilbrey of Cookeville, Thomas Bilbrey of Crawford, Ricky and wife Brenda Bilbrey of Livingston; 2 Sisters: Betty Beard of Monterey, and Debbie Conner of Livingston; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and other family and friends also survive.

Memorial services for Bobby “BOB” Joe Harlow, 86 of Cookeville, will be Friday, June 2 at 1 PM at the Dyer Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home with military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard. Pastor Tom Strong will officiate. He was born October 21, 1936 in Mount Pleasant, TN to the late Joe Norman and Gladys Marie Curtis Harlow. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Kathleen “Kay” Francis Wood Long Harlow on November 4, 2014; a daughter, Julie Lynn Harlow; son, Michael Ray Harlow; siblings, Charles R. Harlow, Norman Carl Harlow, William E. Harlow, Barry Dale Harlow, Betty Jean Nance, Dorothy Porter and Linda Gale Harlow. Bob was a US Navy veteran serving from 1955 to 1959. He retired from the City of San Miguel, California as a fireman. He was a member of Gideons International. Bob had been a member of Bear Cove Baptist Church and later at Hamptons Crossroads Baptist Church. Survivors include a brother Larry Harlow of Crestview, Florida. The family will receive friends Friday after 11 AM until service time at the funeral home.

A memorial service and tribute for Hamilton Anthony “Tony” Horsman, age 74 of Cookeville, will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023, beginning at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. He passed away May 13th 2023 at 10:26 am, at his home in Cookeville. Born Friday, November 19, 1948 in New York City, New York, he was the son of the late Homer and Ella (Perrusi) Horsman. Tony eventually made his home at Horseman Farm in Cookeville. A decorated Vietnam veteran who served the US Army from 1966-69, he was an entrepreneur, sailor, equestrian, and farmer. Friend, mentor, and elder statesman; he spent his later years focused on supporting the recovery of others. He is survived by his loving wife Hannah, his children Hunter and Halia, his sisters Catherine and Patricia. In lieu of flowers, Tony wished for donations to be made to Priority House.

Memorial Services for Adger “A.C.” Charles Sullivan, age 82 of Cookeville, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Tracy Curtis, Wayne Sullivan, and Eugene Cunningham officiating. A private burial will follow at a later date. He passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. He was born May 23, 1941 in Spencer, and he was the son of the late Adger Sullivan and Connie Lawson Sullivan Madewell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Kewin Madewell; siblings, Sara Grimaldi, Evelyn Summerlin, Gewin Youngblood, Ruth Dodson, and Donnie Sullivan; and a great-grandson, JD Hyatt; all whom he loved very much. Survivors include: Sons- Mike Sullivan (Denise) and LaVaughn Smith; Daughter- Lisa Sullivan Scott; Grandchildren- Damon Scott, Paige Scott Reed (Lucas), Allan Smith, and Leslie Hyatt Goodwin; Great-Grandchildren- Andre Hyatt, Madison Maham, Austin Rodgers (Mackenzie), Trystin Scott, Ellis Reed, Anniston Reed, and Ezmay Reed, all whom he loved dearly. A.C. drove a truck, was Chief Deputy of Van Buren County, and worked as a civil engineer for TDOT for 35 years. He won many charity poker games and donated all the proceeds to benefit children. He loved sports of all kinds. To all the children he coached or umpired over the years, you know who you are, he truly loved and enjoyed each of you and hoped he left you better than he found you. He was full of pride and stories over the years. You made him happy with all the hours that were put in together. He would want to say thanks to Betty Sullivan, Janet Sullivan, special friend, Dorthy Kirby, and special family and friend, Carol and Bruce Stewart. Although times weren’t always easy, he loved each of you for taking such good care of him along the way. He also attended North Sparta Church of God. The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 12:00 PM until time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested if you have any photos, fond memories, or stories of A.C., please write them down and bring them to the family at the funeral home.

A memorial service for Kaleen Emlee Fahrner, 72 of Cookeville, will be at 12:00 PM on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Presley Funeral Home with the Eddy Turner officiating. She died on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at home surrounded by loved ones. Born Monday, June 5, 1950 in Bay City, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late William Ervin LeMere and the late Catherine Bowden LeMere. She was the wife of Ronald Fahrner. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, June 23, 2023, at Presley Funeral Home.

A Funeral service for Donald Paul Agee, 90 of Cookeville, will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Presley Funeral Home with Chaplain Matthew Finchum officiating. He died on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at home surrounded by his family. Born Tuesday, January 3, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Williard Agee and the late Florence Gase Agee. He was a Veteran of Korea. The family will receive friends from 2:30 PM until time of service at 3:00 PM.
