Obituaries For Monday, February 6

Funeral services for Sue Swann Chaffin, age 88 of Baxter, will be held at 2:00p.m. at at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow immediately at John L. Clark Cemetery. Mrs. Chaffin passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023 at CRMC. She was a long-time member of the Bussell Church of Christ in Putnam County. She loved the Lord and her family. Sue was married to Davis A. Chaffin from 1957 until his passing in 2002. She is survived by a son, Jeff Chaffin, and a daughter, Sherry (Glenn) Binkley. Visitation will be on Monday, February 6 at noon at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Ms. Brenda Ann Dailey, age 69 of Cookeville, will be conducted 12 noon Tuesday, February 7th from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Bro. Mike White will officiate. Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. Ms. Dailey passed from this life on Sunday morning, February 5, 2023, from her residence. Brenda loved going to the park, listening to the birds singing, and listening to country music. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Ms. Dailey leaves behind her brother, Billy W. (kim) Dailey; and sister, Tresia (Jimmy) Coffey. The family will welcome friends on Monday evening from 5 until 8 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral Services for Mary Ann Blankenship, age 86 of Livingston, will be conducted on Tuesday, February 7, at 1:00 PM from The Chapel of Goff Funeral Home. Rev. Eugene McCowan will officiate with interment to follow in the Wilson Cemetery. Mrs. Blankenship passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. She was retired from Ford Motor Company in Wayne, Michigan, previously working at Wayne Assembly Plant. She was a member of Rickman First Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by four children, Hazel Marie Allen, Norma Jean Blankenship, Thomas Blankenship, and Anthony (Kathy) Blankenship. The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home on Monday, February 6 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Funeral services for Ms. Mary Anna Allen, age 78 of Algood, will be held Sunday, February 12th at 2:00p.m. at Algood Church of Christ. Bro. John Chowning will officiate. Interment will follow in Algood City Cemetery. Ms. Allen died Sunday February 5, 2023 at Bailey Manor in Cookeville. Her family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30pm until service time at the Algood Church of Christ.

Celebration of Life Services for James Robert “Hoss” Hull, age 89 of Monterey, will be held at Goff Funeral Home on Saturday, March 4 at 3:00 PM with Wanda Baisley officiating. Mr. Hull passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Tennessee State Veterans’ Home in Murfreesboro surrounded by his family. Hoss enjoyed sports, primarily football, while growing up in Monterey and was very proud to be a member of the Class A championship Monterey High School football team in 1951. Following high school, he honorably served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. After his military service, he lived and worked in Tennessee, eventually moving to Texas where he met and married Louise. He remained in Texas 35 years before returning home to Monterey. He was perhaps best known for his readiness to tell a joke or relay a funny story from the past, as well as for his quick smile and giving heart. He is survived by a brother and sister. The family wishes to offer special thanks to Jeremy Moseley for his invaluable personal assistance and to the nurses and staff of the Tennessee State Veterans’ Home for their kindness and care shown to Hoss while he was there. The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 1:00 PM until time of services at 3:00 PM.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering for Mary Dolores Graham (Manning), age 87 of Algood, will be held Saturday, March 11 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Mrs. Graham passed away on Tuesday January 31, 2023. Dee grew up in Dundee, IL where she met and married Billy on Saturday October 22, 1955. They raised 4 children in Carpentersville IL. She was a very loving and devoted mother to her children. She worked for 30 years for Otto Engineering in Carpentersville IL. Upon retirement her and Billy moved to Algood, Tn. to enjoy the natural beauty and peacefulness that the hills of TN had to offer .She was very active with her book club and was well known for her home cooked meals. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Sandra) Graham, Ted (Michelle) Graham, Cynthia Rush, and Sandra (Kurt) Domianus. In Lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to St. Jude’s Children’s research hospital.
