Obituaries For Friday, August 7

Betty Ann (Turley) England, 73, of Sparta, passed away peacefully August 6, 2020 at her home. Mrs. England was born in Ohio on August 7, 1946. Survivors include Husband- Bruce England; Daughter Gale Clark (Benjamin). Betty will be dearly missed but not forgotten. She was kindhearted, a wonderful person who enjoyed nature, especially Scott’s Gulf and the Great Smoky Mountains. She loved coffee with cream, her two cats, birdwatching, and us. The family has chosen cremation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Lisa L. Rodriguez, age 56 of Rickman, will be conducted 12 noon, Saturday, August 8th, from the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home. Rev. James Shenko will officiate. The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 10 am until time of services at 12 noon. Mrs. Rodriguez passed from this life on Thursday morning, July 30, 2020, from Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, on June 16, 1964, to the late Mikel and Janis Ruth Porter Wireman. Lisa always enjoyed talking to her friends, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved to garden and be around her animals. Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by her sons Greg Wireman and wife Alex of Hendersonville and David Wireman and wife Sheila of Cookeville.

Celebration of Life services for Mr. Prentice Dwight Stewart, age 73 of the Sulfur Community, will be conducted 1 PM Saturday, August 8, 2020, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Cameron Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Eckels Cemetery with military honors provided at graveside by the Overton County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will welcome friends from 12 noon until time of services at 1 PM. Mr. Stewart passed from the comfort of his home on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. He was born in Overton County, Tennessee on January 19, 1947 to the late William T. “Buster” & Myrtle Grace Carr Stewart. Dwight was a member of the Church of Christ and a 1965 graduate of Rickman High School.

Funeral services for Mr. Benjamin Horace White, Sr., age 83 of Sparta, will be conducted 3:00pm Sunday, August 9, 2020 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors by the Veterans’ Honor Guard will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. He passed away Thursday morning, August 6, 2020 at his residence. Ben White – if he ever introduced himself to you was “Ben White all of his life” – was born April 14, 1937 in Walling to the late Benjamin Harrison & Lillie Jewell Prince White. He made a career out of serving his country. He began his service in the U.S. Navy as a cook, later taking his cooking skills to the U.S. Coast Guard until his retirement. When his military career ended, he worked as a cook at the Bledsoe Correctional Facility. Ben was an active and accomplished woodworker and gardener. Many of his wood pieces were given to family and friends. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and a faithful member of the Abundant Grace Church, where he was affectionately known as “Papa White.” In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Myrna Colena White; granddaughter Elizabeth Farley; sisters Edna White and Carolyn Oakwood. Survivors include his three children Christie J. (Joe) Tindle, Benjamin H. White, Jr., Regena M. (Jeffrey) Gain all of Sparta; Grandchildren: Gary Wayne Scott, Jr., Justin T. Scott, Kelsey S. (Jimmy) Brock, Dinah N. (Kyle) Farley and Brittany B. White; Great-grandchildren: Jakob Brock, Colen Gain, Journey Scott, Jeffrey Brock, Nicoles Farley, Karley Brock, Tytus Scott, Alexis Farley, Beneka Parkhurst, Zayden Farley, Charliegh Rose White; Great-great-grandchild: Annalee Brock; Sister: Catherine Cantrell of Sparta; Brother: Alfred White of Braxton, Mississippi; Many nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from noon until service time Sunday at Hunter Funeral Home. Richard Key will officiate.

Memorial services with military honors for Richard Wayne McReynolds, age 70 of Cookeville, will be held at 1 p.m Monday August 10 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home. Jeff Wilson will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday from 11 a.m. until service time. Due to Covid-19 precautions, social distancing measures will be observed. Richard passed away Thursday morning August 6, 2020 at his home.

Funeral Service for Paul Alexander Wright, 94 of Cookeville, will be held Monday, August 10, 2020, at 3:00 pm, from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Cookeville City Cemetery with full military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard. He passed from this life on Friday, August 7, 2020, at Bethesda Health Care Center. Paul was born Wednesday, July 21, 1926, in Dayton, Ohio, he was the son of the late Paul Alexander, Jr. and the Daisy (Fitzpatrick) Wright. Paul and Clella attended Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ faithfully for many years and they loved their church family. Special thanks to Garland and Wilma Wheeler for their love, friendship, and support to Paul after the passing of Clella. Paul is survived by, Daughter, Laura, and Kevin Holley; 2 Grandchildren, Zachary and Danielle Holley, and Vanessa and Tim Kylander; 2 Great-Grandchildren, Josiah, and Eleanor; A host of extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by, Wife, Clella Marie (Wheeler) Wright; 2 Brothers, Harold and Leonard Wright. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Monday, August 10, 2020, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

Graveside services and interment for Blanca Melba Sagastume, age 69 of Cookeville, will be at 5 p.m. Sunday August 9 at Crest Lawn Cemetery. Pastor Carlos Morales will officiate. Mrs. Sagastume passed away Thursday morning August 6, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born February 19, 1951 in Honduras to the late Pedro Oseguera and Maria Sabas Boilla. She is survived by her husband, Lautiano Sagastume; sons, Alex Sagastume and wife, Priscila Morales, Denis Sagastume (wife, Karen), and Lionel Sagastume; daughters, Rita Gray (husband, Mario), and Sandra Salinas (husband, Omar); brother, Jose Santos Oseguera; and several grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until service time at the cemetery. All attendees are encouraged to wear masks.

Funeral Service for Renee Lynn Stone, 52 of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at 2:00 pm at Trinity Algood with Bro. Jason Yarbrough officiating. She passed from this life on Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Renee was born Monday, February 26, 1968, in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of Donald Preston Porter and the late Sharon Lee (Malloy) Porter. Renee is survived by, Husband, Rich Stone; 8 Children, Amanda Lee, Brittany Duvall, Rashaan Leroy, Logan Ariana, Corri Ann, Emma Rose, Tyrae John, and Aliyah Marie; 6 Grandchildren, Kameryn, Jordan, Taliah, Alisha, Preston, and Elijah; 3 Sisters, Shelly, Trish, and Becky. Renee was preceded in death by her mom, Sharon Lee (Malloy) Porter. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Trinity Algood.

Mr. Sevier, Was Born On January 19, 1949 In Salisbury, Maryland, To The Late George Franklin And Gwendolyn Jackson Sevier. Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, And Friend Is Survived By: His Wife Linda Of 49 Years. Sons Brian (Dani), Kevin (Nikki), Greg (Rachelle). Bill’s Loves Were Hunting, Fishing, Civil War history, Deer And Bird Watching, And Chatting With His Buddy Bobby. Bill And Linda Served As Missionaries In Jamaica Which Was A Springboard To Serving The Lord For His Entire Life. He Led Numerous Bible Studies, Men’s Groups, Leader Of Men’s Ministries And Was An Ordained Minister. He Dedicated His Professional Life To The Education Of Children In Salisbury, Maryland And Broward County, FL For Over 35 Years.
