Visitors From 10 States, UK, In Sparta For Eclipse

Sparta hopes increased tourism from the eclipse carries over for a long time to come.

City Administrator Chris Dorsey said the Sparta welcomed visitors from ten states and the United Kingdom for the eclipse. Residents from Sparta, New Jersey also visited.

Dorsey said the city kept its parks open and set up a mini visitors booth in front of city hall. The city saw increased traffic on its websites and more phone calls from potential visitors in the week leading up to the eclipse, Dorsey said.
