Two Airlifted After Wednesday Morning Crash

A head on collision sent two people to Vanderbilt Medical Center this morning.

The crash happened around 7:45 a.m. at Highway 136 and Fisk Road.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 42-year-old Jason Norton was traveling North on 136 near Fisk Road when he left the right side of the roadway. A report states that Norton overcorrected, crossed the center line, and crashed head-on into a Hyundai Tucson driven by 30-year-old Elizabeth McDonald.

McDonald and Norton had to be airlifted from the scene and both are listed in critical condition.
