This week in the Upper Cumberland the White County Commission will hold a public hearing Monday for its new fiscal year budget.
Public comment begins at 5:30 p.m. at the county courthouse.
At 6:00 p.m., the commission will begin regular business to consider several budget amendments to balance this year’s budget before the end of the fiscal.
The Cumberland County Commission will also make a number of budget amendments Monday. Commissioners will also appoint a railroad authority members after the board increased in size.
Tuesday, the Celina Board of Aldermen will have a rescheduled meeting at 6:00 p.m. The Board was originally set to meet last week.
The Van Buren County Commission meets at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday. Commissioners will consider a bid to repair a leak at the old county courthouse steeple.
The Overton County School Board will finalize end of the year budget amendments Tuesday. Business begins at 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, the Putnam County Budget Committee meets to further discuss proposals. Two proposals have been brought to the committee that have a range of different raises. Members will also work on budget cuts for departmental requests.
The Jackson County School Board will consider next year’s budget for approval. The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m.
