This Week Overton Considers Land Purchase, Livingston Aldermen Meet

This week in the Upper Cumberland the Overton County Commission will consider purchasing over 200 acres Monday.

A $2.3 million price tag for 210 acres in Rickman. The purchase has been recommended by the county’s industrial board and budget committee.

The meeting starts at 5:00 p.m. Monday.

A healthy turnout expected at the Livingston Board of Aldermen meeting Monday as officials continue discussions on the police department. Aldermen Kelly Coleman has said that he will seek changes to the department after a missing money scandal.

Business begins at 6:00 p.m. Monday.

The Jackson County School Board has scheduled a special called meeting Monday. Members will review two proposals to build a new vocational building. The board meets at 6:00 p.m.

The Clay County Commission will once again consider a bid to purchase a new ambulance. Mayor Dale Reagan said the state required a rebid causing the action to come back before commissioners.

That meeting starts Monday at 6:30 p.m.

Tuesday, the Celina Board of Aldermen will meet at 6:00 p.m. The Overton County School Board also gather Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

The Algood City Council meeting on Tuesday has been cancelled due to a lack of business.

Thursday, the White County School Board will gather at 6:00 p.m. The Clay County School Board also meets Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
