This Week: Fentress Discusses Pay Raises, Putnam Redistricting

This week in the Upper Cumberland the Fentress County Commission will meet for a reconvened meeting Monday.

The purpose to discuss pay raises for positions in the county’s Sheriff’s Office and Solid Waste Department. The issue was included in last week’s commission meeting for discussion, but members will gather again at 6:00 p.m. to consider.

Commissioners will also review adding Chamber Director Jacob Rosenbaum to the redistricting committee, bringing it to 15 members.

The Putnam County Emergency Communications District will meet Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Emergency Management Office

Putnam County’s redistricting committee will have its second meeting on Thursday. According to Commissioner Ben Rogers, training on the software for the process will take place.

District six and 11 need the most work. The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Emergency Operations Center.
