The population of Cookeville will grow Thursday.
Tennessee Tech’s annual move-in day will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday morning.
Tech’s Director of New Student and Family Programs is Allen Mullis.
“We have a lot of current students who will be coming back and helping volunteer and then with all of our new students moving in on campus that day as well, I’d say we’d have anywhere between 1,500 to 2,000 students trying to get settled in to their residence hall that day,” Mullis said.
The actual move-in won’t take that long for each student because Tech is such a helpful campus, Mullis said.
“We have a great student body here and a lot of our current upperclassmen they come back and they help our students move in, even those who have been here before, they help them get unloaded, get settled back in, so really the unloading doesn’t take that long,” Mullis said.
The first day of classes at Tennessee Tech is Monday.
