A two-month construction project along Monterey Highway will include lane closures beginning Monday. Motorists should watch for the lane closures between 8am and 4pm. Cumberland Co. I-40 East Temporary Closure

Temporary road closures are coming to I-40 East in Cumberland County tonight while permanent overhead signs are installed. From 9:00 p.m. to midnight, T-DOT will be using rolling roadblocks between mile markers 329 and 340. Smithville is looking to improve pedestrian walkways for two Highway 70 intersections within the city. T-DOT Engineers are examining lanes of Interstate 40 after multiple hydroplaning incidents in a 3-mile area last week.
