Comptrollers Office: UC Needs More Judges

The Upper Cumberland needs more judges. That’s according to a state comptroller’s report showing a growing deficit in the 13th Judicial District. Around 150 Tested Over Weekend In Van Buren, Pickett

The state tested 164 residents in Van Buren County Saturday and 149 people in Pickett County Sunday. Pickett and Van Buren Counties will be home to drive-thru COVID-19 testing sites this weekend. The state will ramp up COVID-19 testing across the weekend in an effort to get more Tennesseans checked. UC COVID-19 Cases Up To 233 Wednesday

Upper Cumberland COVID-19 cases rose to 233 cases Wednesday with a third COVID-19 death in Macon County. Putnam County’s total stands at 93. Cumberland County reports 53 positive cases. Just Over 100 Remain Without Power In Fentress

Just under 130 Fentress County residents are still without power Monday night, according to Volunteer Energy. The majority of the outages are located along the Fentress/Pickett County lines. The number of outages reached 8,000 at one point during Sunday night’s storms. Read More »

148 COVID-19 Cases Tallied Across Region

COVID-19 cases continue to increase slowly across the Upper Cumberland with 148 cases reported Thursday. The Tennessee Department Of Health reported 82 Putnam County cases, 34 in Cumberland County, and 7 in Dekalb County. Jackson, Overton and Smith Counties reported 5 COVID-19 cases.
