Overton Health and Rehab Must Meet Federal Guidelines To Open

The Tennessee Department of Health announced that visitation is open for nursing homes. However, Overton County Health and Rehab Public Information Officer Scott Stevens said that announcement is misleading. T-DOT Inspection Temp. Closes Two Overton Bridges

Two Overton Co. bridges are temporarily closing after a bi-yearly T-DOT inspection. Shiloh Bridge between Dry Hollow Road and Highway 84 and Windle Bridge just west of West McCormick Road are currently closed. The Cumberland Historic Byway has been designated as a National Scenic Byway. Ruth Dyal is Executive Director of the Upper Cumberland Tourism Association. Power Outages Down To 400 Regionwide

Just over 400 outages remain in the Upper Cumberland Tuesday morning as crews continue the restoration efforts. 380 of those outages are in Overton County, according to County Executive Ben Danner. Overton County Emergency Management is partnering with Team Rubicon to assist home owners with debris cleanup from last week’s ice storm. The non-profit is made of military veterans that are staying in Overton County for one week of relief. Volunteers Needed Today In Overton

Overton County Emergency Management needs volunteers to assist with cutting trees and checking on community members. Volunteers can meet at the 911 Center Saturday at 12 Noon.
