Putnam County Election Commissioner Wendy McCown-Williams submitted a letter of resignation at the end of Wednesday’s election commission meeting. According to the letter, the appointment of a poll worker that changed his party affiliation to independent was the reason. The commission voted in favor 4-1 to hire the worker.
