Burks Elementary To Get AC In Gym

A new HVAC system will be installed in the Burks Elementary School gym this summer. Putnam County Schools Maintenance Supervisor John Magura said with the addition, all Putnam County Schools and gyms now have air conditioning. “The gym at Burks Elementary did not have air conditioning. Upperman & Cookeville Gym Floor Repair Underway

Cookeville and Upperman High Schools are repairing their gym floors this July. Putnam County Schools Facilities and Construction Supervisor John Magura said the floors are usually repaired every 10 to 12 years. Sycamore Elementary Window Project Approved

The Putnam County School Board approved a window project for Sycamore Elementary at Thursday’s meeting. Putnam County Schools Facilities and Construction Supervisor John Magura said the windows in the gymnasium and the front classroom area will be replaced with insulated windows.
