A person is missing in Cummins Falls State Park as first-responders and park rangers continue the search. A one-time teacher bonus worth $500 unanimously approved by the Jackson County School Board Thursday night. Director of Schools Kristy Brown said they were able to cover this bonus after receiving $85,000 in grant reimbursements for things already budgeted and purchased. The remaining funds of Jackson County’s ThreeStar Grant will go towards supplies for the school system’s TCAT classes.
