Jackson County Schools is hosting a surplus sale this Saturday at 8 a.m. Mayor Randy Heady said that the school plans on selling chairs and desks that had been sitting in storage and the county will sell the historic courtroom benches. Jackson County Redistricting Committee approved its map to present before the county commission. The committee approved the map with a unanimous vote, as well as selected District Four Commissioner Paul Ballard as its chair.
