Fentress County Highway Department Pursuing Grant For Park Access

The Fentress County Highway Department is pursuing a federal grant for repaving nearly eight miles of road. Fentress Reaches Compromise For Road Improvement Plan

A compromise was reached between Fentress County Commissioners and Highway Department on a road improvement loan. County Executive Jimmy Johnson said $800,000 was approved by the commission. The Fentress County Commission approved a $2.1 million dollar capital outlay note for the new agriculture pavilion Monday night. The note did not include money for the highway department.
