The Fentress County Commission approved a $2.1 million dollar capital outlay note for the new agriculture pavilion Monday night. The note did not include money for the highway department. Searches Continue For Escaped Fentress Inmate Near Commerce Dr.

The search continue in Fentress County for one of two inmates that escaped Monday. According to county dispatch, law enforcement is looking for 35-year-old Charles Kennedy in the area of Round Mountain Road and Commerce Drive Thursday. Fentress County Commissioners accepted the low bids on the new Agriculture Pavilion and the Clarkrange Solid Waste Center. Fentress Man Arrested For Selling Opiates Obtained Through TennCare

A Fentress County man has been arrested for selling Oxycodone obtained through TennCare benefits and TennCare fraud. Kenny Evans of Pall Mall was arrested by the Office of Inspector General and the Fentress County Sheriff’s Department in a joint effort.
