Overton Commission Receives No Local Bids For Fairgrounds Bathroom Project

The Overton County Commission soliciting bids once again to build additional bathrooms at the fairgrounds. Commission Chair Darwin Clark said the project will be readvertised since no local contractors expressed interest. Clark said the county also needs to update the specs included. Equipment has moved onto the Tennessee Avenue Putnam County Fairgrounds site to start dirt work. The Putnam County Commission voted Monday to allow Mayor Randy Porter to move forward with dirt work at the Tennessee Avenue fairgrounds site.
