Overton County Clerk Pleads Guilty To Violation Of State Computer Act

Overton County Clerk Victoria Looper pled guilty Thursday to accessing a state computer and gaining personal benefit from it. Looper appeared in front of Judge Gary McKenzie in Overton County. Jackson Approves Two New Litigation Tax Resolutions

Jackson County Commission approved two resolutions Monday that would bring in more money to the county general fund. Livingston City Court Moving To Overton County Justice Center

Livingston City Court is moving to the Overton County Justice Center, effective immediately. Livingston Board of Aldermen voted to enter an agreement with Overton County to host Livingston’s court. Putnam Justice Center Awarded $100,000 Technology Grant

A $100,000 technology grant has been awarded to Putnam County’s Justice Center to modernize the legal process. Circuit Court Clerk Jennifer Wilkerson said it became clear during the pandemic that technology to limit contact was needed. Putnam Circuit Court Opening, More Changes Coming

Putnam County Courts are further opening up with eviction notices going out to residents on Thursday. Circuit Court Clerk Jennifer Wilkerson said in-person proceedings are currently at 50 percent capacity.
