Two Sparta convenience stores have been put on a one year probation for selling alcohol after being caught in a sting operation. Sparta Police Department conducted the compliance checks. Monterey restaurants could now serve alcohol outdoors after the beer board approved three amendment changes. Under the changes, vendors can sample alcohol at the farmer’s market.
