Algood Man Faces Murder Charge In Drug-Related Death

An Algood man faces murder charges in the drug-related death of a Smithville woman last May. Authorities arrested 41-year old Patrick Goolsby Monday on one count of second degree murder and one count of sale and delivery of a schedule II controlled substance. Algood Council Authorizes Park Application

Algood City Council Tuesday night authorized application for $600,000 in parks and rec grant money from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. The money would help fund the city’s planned amphitheater. If approved for the grant, the city must provide a 50 percent match.
