Jason Lawson has been appointed by the Governor as the District Attorney General for the 15th Judicial District. Former Jackson County Clerk Amanda Stafford has been released from the Jackson County Jail to a drug rehabilitation facility. Assistant District Attorney Ian Bratton said Stafford was arrested for a probation violation on July 2 for a drug charge. “The violation basis, I believe, was prescription pill use,” Bratton said. “It was something she didn’t have a prescription for, though.” ...
