Putnam Schools Hosting Fall Break Intercession Days Oct. 3 And 4th

Putnam Schools helping students play catch up through fall break intercession days hosted at the high schools.

Communications Supervisor Hannah Davis said students attending can help make up credit hours or missing assignments. She said most of the students who attend intercession days have chronic absenteeism.

“Anytime you can get students back into a place where they can be taught and learn,” Davis said. “Sometimes one on one, sometimes in group settings, you see success in that, It’s act school, but it’s after school, so we do see a lot of success.”

Davis said the extending learning programs team typically looks at school grades to determine who needs intercession. The intercession is for students who meet eligibility requirements and are currently enrolled in the 21st Century Community Learning Center program.

The intercessions days are Monday, October 3rd, and Tuesday, October 4th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
