Putnam Fair Announces First Draft For 2021 Entertainment Schedule

The 2021 Putnam County Fair has announced its first draft covering over 10 days of entertainment.

President John Allen said rodeos, monster trucks, demolition derbies and classic fair fun will return. Allen said the addition of Jake Hoot and expanding Grand Ma’s Barnyard top the list of exciting new things this year.

“Last year was such a disastrous year and not being able to have a fair,” Allen said. “It’s thrilling because we all on the fair board love the fair, that’s why we do this and we are thrilled that we are able to move forward now with a fair for this year.”

Allen said the fair will follow the Putnam County Health Department and CDC recommendations being given during July 29-August 7. Allen said the entertainment schedule will be finalized by May 10.

“It will be by the May 10 fair board meeting because that’s the last day we can make changes in the fair book,” Allen said. “The fair books will hit the streets on June 1 and we will be advertising where you can get one.”

Allen said they are still finalizing some details for live demonstrations and other events. However, Allen said that when the fair book goes out residents will get all the information they could need.

“A fair book is all the things that you can enter into the fair, it gives the schedule for the fair,” Allen said. “The fair schedule is inserted into the middle of it so it can be removed and brought with you to the fair. It lists everything that will happen.”

Allen said there will be a full list of concessions included in the fair book. The Putnam County Fair is set to run from July 29-August 7.
