A proposed Cookeville subdivision that has been at the center of public concern approved for study by the Cookeville Planning Commission Monday night.
The preliminary plat of Timberwalk Subdivision on Lovelady Road includes 316 lots. The conceptual layout of the development will be presented to the commission at a future meeting.
The Planning Commission approved the rezoning of the property in March but not without push back. Several residents that live in the area spoke out, but the motion passed 7-2.
Several commissioners have said that the growth of Cookeville calls for more housing.
