Overton Executive Hosting Solar Panel Discussion For Small Businesses

Overton County Executive Steven Barlow will host a small business workshop this month to help with energy costs.

Barlow said a solar panel company will speak on funding opportunities available for businesses to make the switch.

“It’s a big thing for our small businesses to look at and an opportunity to maybe save on some of that overhead,” Barlow said. “There are grants out there for it, and USDA will be here too.”

Barlow said he attended a recent conference where he made the connections to plan the seminar. Barlow said he wanted to help business owners with operation costs while also being a growing solar panel trend.

The workshop comes January 26th at the County Service Building. Barlow said to contact the county executive office to register.
