One Dead, Another Injured After Wednesday Crossville Crash

A man was killed and a woman injured during a single-car crash in Crossville Wednesday morning.

Crossville Police report 32-year-old Dannie Turner died when the accident occurred on Main Street.

A press release states Turner was driving near Interstate Drive with 44-year-old Kimberly Dunlap, of Crossville as a passenger.

According to the report, Turner’s 2000 Jeep Cherokee swerved between lanes before over-correcting and rolling over. Turner was ejected from the vehicle during the crash and pronounced dead at the scene.

Upon arrival, first-responders began conducting life-saving measures on Dunlap before transporting her to UT Medical Center in Knoxville for treatment. According to the release, Dunlap was transported in critical condition.

Crossville Police report neither Turner nor Dunlap were wearing seat belts when the accident occurred. Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash at this time.
