No injuries occurred after a rollover crash on I-40 in Smith County Wednesday.
Around 7:30 am, 42-year-old Robert Ransom of Hendersonville was traveling west in the right lane. According to an incident report, 30-year-old Kevin Rice of Cookeville was traveling in the right lane when he struck the back end of Ransom’s vehicle.
Ransom’s vehicle spun and then rolled several times before coming to a final upright stop.
Rice’s vehicle struck the eastbound cable barrier prior to stopping.
Both Ransom and Rice wore seatbelts at the time of the accident.
