New Warren County Executive Settling Into Office

Warren County Executive Terry Bell is wrapping up his first full week after being sworn into the position.

Bell said to him, collaboration will be the philosophy of his administration.

“I think the most important thing is to be able to get along with your commissioners and convey to them what we are allowed to do by the law and what is out of our control,” Bell said. “Working with the county commission is the most important thing.”

Bell said he has spent the week meeting with department heads and UCDD catching up on ongoing projects and grants. Bell said expanding the animal control center, a new employee health plan and fire department funding are just some of the issues he wants to address over the next four years.

Bell has served as a county commissioner in Warren County from 2002 to 2018. Bell said that experience will be a big help when it comes to budgeting as well as bringing six new commissioner up to speed.

Bell defeated Incumbent Jimmy Haley in the August Election by receiving 60 percent of the vote.
