A Monterey man had to be airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center after crashing his vehicle Thursday night.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the accident happened on Highway 84.
According to a crash report, William Smith was driving a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse when the vehicle crashed near Rock Springs Road.
THP Lieutenant Jimmy Neal said Smith was airlifted from the crash scene for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.
