Missing Jamestown Girl Found Safe

A missing Jamestown girl has been found safe.

Jamestown Police Det. Rob Lower said 17-year-old Kyana Asberry had been missing since April 1.

“She actually called her mother and was in Nashville and wanted to come home, her mother actually picked her up. We didn’t know until she had arrived back here with her, she arrived back at the police department and the rest is history,” he said.

On April 1, Asberry had been dropped off for work. She walked to the Save-A-Lot and then disappeared.

Asberry has a court date later this week, Lower said. He believes she has a history of running away. She’ll also face discipline from school for a month of absences, he said.
