Man Arrested On Felony Charge After Driveway Scam

A man allegedly responsible for a driveway scam in Jackson County was arrested in White County Tuesday.

Dennis Howard allegedly took $3,000 to develop a driveway on Cummins Mills Road. After multiple attempts by the victim, the work was not completed and a refund was unsuccessful.

Howard was indicted on a felony charge for actions by a home improvement service provider that constitutes an offense. Howard was located in White County Tuesday and transported to the Jackson County Jail.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation on the case in January. The Jackson County Grand Jury served an indictment in April.
