Man Arrested For Homicide In Cookeville

Cookeville Police have charged a man in connection with a Wednesday night homicide.

Authorities arrested 38-year-old Andrew Price for fatally stabbing 22-year-old Kelsea Lamb and injuring 28-year-old Kayla Dailey.

Police say the incident occurred at a home along Fountain Drive.

Investigators determined that Price and Lamb had gotten into an argument which led to Price assaulting and stabbing Lamb.

Dailey attempted to intervene but was also stabbed by Lamb during the incident.

Lamb then fled the scene in Dailey’s vehicle, escaping several law enforcement agencies through Clay County before being apprehended on Highway 111 near Algood.

Lamb was transported to Cookeville Regional Medical Center by Putnam County EMS, where she died upon arrival. Dailey suffered non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.

Price is currently being held in police custody facing theft, aggravated assault, and bond violation charges. Police say Price’s bond conditions stemmed from a previous domestic assault in incident involving Lamb.
