Man Arrested Following Armed Robbery At Jamestown Pharmacy

A 70-year-old man has landed behind bars for an armed robbery that occurred in Jamestown Tuesday.

Jamestown Police have charged Michael McGlothlin of Jamestown with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.

The incident happened at 1:20 p.m. when McGlothin entered the Medi-Thrift Pharmacy on West Central Avenue. Detective Rob Lower said the suspect allegedly produced a handgun and demanded narcotics.

Authorities responded after someone called 911 from inside the store. Lower made entry into the building and managed to disarm McGlothlin at the pharmacy counter.

Lower said no injuries occurred to anyone inside the store.
