Man Arrested After Making Several Fake 911 Calls

DeKalb County authorities have arrested a man for allegedly making five fake emergency calls to 911 earlier this month.

Authorities have charged 49-year-old Larry Capshaw with misuse of the 911 system. According to DeKalb County Sheriff Patrick Ray, Capshaw made a total of five calls to 911 on October 1st and 2nd to report a suspicious person hiding in the area.

Deputies responded and conducted several searches without finding anyone.

Capshaw is under a $1,500 bond and will appear in court October 26th.
