Majority Of Motlow State Classes Online

The Motlow State McMinnville Campus and Sparta Site will move to mostly online classes this fall.

Classes will begin August 24th. External Affairs Vice President Terri Bryson said the college will provide two different online types. A set schedule or classes that do not meet at specific times.

“There are some online classes that are very self directed. They are very traditional in their approach to online delivery,” Bryson said. “But, there is also a class that meets just like an on ground class would. They just meet virtually.”

Bryson said the majority of classes will be online only. In person classes will be hands on training or labs. Masks will be required on campus at all times. Each student and employee must be temperature checked and screened before entering each Motlow site.

“There has to be mask worn, and they have to worn properly,” Bryson said. “You also have to fill out a daily self assessment confirming you have not been around anybody who has had the virus, or you do not have symptoms. Safety and the health of our students is the top priority this fall.”

Bryson said after each class, a sanitation team will clean each room. Motlow sites will have a list of every student and employee on campus each day to perform contact tracing if a Covid outbreak occurs. Each person possibly exposed would be contacted by Motlow officials.
