Juveniles Injured Following Putnam Co. Crash

Two juveniles from Jackson County received medical treatment following a rear-end collision in Putnam County Sunday afternoon.

According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol crash report, the accident occurred just before noon at the intersection of Highway 56 South and Buffalo Valley Road.

The report said traffic had backed up on Highway 56 South when 53-year-old Marvin Lancaster, of Moss, crashed his vehicle into a 1973 Chevy Camaro driven by 63-year-old Stephen Ladd, of Murray Kentucky.

The impact caused Ladd’s vehicle to rear-end a 1968 Dodge Dart before crashing into a westbound guardrail, according to the report.

Two juveniles inside Lancaster’s vehicle received medical treatment for undisclosed injuries. The report said Lancaster was uninjured.

Ladd, his passenger, and the occupants of the Dodge Dart were also uninjured.

The THP report did not give a description of the vehicle Lancaster was driving. The report did say that everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seat belt.
