An accident on I-40 eastbound was reported Tuesday morning just outside of Cookeville.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck a guard rail near Exit 290. A statement from the THP indicates injuries were reported.
No word on the number of vehicles involved. The driver of the vehicle has not yet been identified and their condition is unknown.
