Applications for the new Highlands Residential Services housing complex Oak Tree Towers will be available on Wednesday.
Executive Director Dow Harris said paperwork can be found at the housing authority office on West Jackson Street until May 12th.
“There is going to be 50 of those one bedroom apartments,” Harris said. “There is some income eligibility requirements on that, and you have to be 62 years or older to get into to what I refer to as the housing authorities new hotel.”
Applicants will be assigned an interview time slot when receiving the application. Harris said appointments are only being made in-person to ensure rooms are given on a first-come, first-served basis.
Harris said those who can not come to location can send a representative to make a reservation. Harris said the low income three-story mid-rise apartment complex on Buffalo Valley Road is set to be completed in August.
