Hormann Factory Nearly Located In Putnam County

White County’s new Hormann factory was very nearly located a little farther north.

During the announcement ceremony Thursday, White County Executive Denny Wayne Robinson thanked Putnam County Executive Randy Porter and Cookeville Mayor Ricky Shelton for sending Hormann to White County.

“What’s good for one area is good for the whole region. As it turns out, the property they needed, were looking for didn’t quite fit what we had in Putnam County, so we suggested they come here and talk to County Executive Denny Wayne Robinson and so it all worked out,” Shelton said.

Shelton said the new factory will be located close to the border of both counties, which means both will benefit.
