Hermitage Springs VFD Hosting Valentine’s Day Ball

Does a dinner, dance and live music sound like a good way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Tickets on sale now for the First Responders Ball on February 12th presented by the Hermitage Springs Volunteer Fire Department. Secretary Amanda Fleming said it’s a perfect Valentine’s Day gift.

“It’s the first time,” Fleming said. “We decided to do one to see how good it done. Just get out and have some fun with the men and women that do the first responding.”

Fleming said tickets cost $25 with the event taking place at the Ronnie McDowell Museum in Red Boiling Springs. Fleming said the dress code will be semi-formal but come prepared to dance.

“Supper at 6:00 o’clock we’re going to have fried chicken, ham and all the fixings,” Fleming said. “Then at 7 o’clock Mr Ronnie McDowell and his band has donated their time and they’re going to give us a concert so we can dance.”

Fleming said ticket orders are due February 9th. Fleming said everyone is welcome to join the celebration with local first responders. Fleming said the ticket proceeds will go back to the volunteer fire department for funding.

“They mean everything,”  Fleming said. “That’s what we pay everything with. If the truck breaks down or equipment breaks that’s what we work with to pay and fix it. It’s very important.”

Fleming said you can purchase tickets by calling (931) 665-7771. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. at 500 East Main Street in Red Boiling Springs.
