Grammy Award-Winner Linda Davis Performing at Crossville Palace Theater Sat

A taste of Music City comes to Crossville Saturday with Grammy Award-winner Linda Davis bringing a night of acoustic music.

Linda Davis’ “Evening in the Round” plays one night only at Palace Theater in downtown Crossville on Saturday at 7 p.m. Administrator Todd Olsen said tickets are still available.

“Songwriters sit around, and they tell stories,” Olsen said. “They give the audience an inside scoop of what was it like when they were writing them, and they sing the song. It’s really a lovely evening.”

Olsen said a total of three Grammy winners will take the stage Saturday. Davis’ husband Lang Scott and songwriter Bill Whyte also performing. Olsen said audience members can expect an intimate performance in the historic theater.

“The Palace Theater is a special place,” Olsen said. “It’s 300 feet, a 90 some year old building, so a lot of special people have played here. A lot of audiences have seen a lot of cool evenings.”

Olsen said the event will be produced in-house making for a affordable $15 or $25 price. Olsen said a ticket purchased means more money that goes towards the operations and preservation of the Palace Theater.

“That’s how we build our audience here,” Olsen said. “You can get right up close or you can sit back and enjoy the music a bit, but it does take revenue as you might imagine to keep the historic theater going.”

Tickets available at CrossvilleTN.gov under the departments tab. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. Saturday at 72 South Main Street in Crossville.
