The idea of creating a new downtown merchant association is being discussed in Cookeville.
According to a letter addressed to WestSide Merchant members, the new organization would tie both WestSide Merchants and the courthouse merchants into one cohesive organization.
The letter was sent by CityScape within the last few weeks. CityScape officials said the new organization is simply an idea at this time.
The WestSide Merchant Association will be meeting next month to discuss the future of the organization.
