Douglas Facing Fourth Meth Charge In 2019

A Silver Point man has landed behind bars for his second methamphetamine charge this month and fourth this year.

Algood Police arrested Marshall Irvine Douglas on Friday after finding two grams of a crystal substance during a traffic stop. Officers also located digital scales, several plastic baggies, and $295 in small bills during the encounter.

Douglas faces a charge of manufacture, sell, delivery, or possession of meth. He will answer to the charge February 3 when he appears in Putnam County General Sessions Court.

This latest arrest comes nearly three weeks after Cookeville Police allegedly found Douglas possessing 55-grams of meth at a hotel. Local authorities previously arrested the 49-year-old for meth-related offenses in January and June.
