“Double Your Donation Day” takes place Tuesday for the Cookeville regional Charitable Foundation.
The one-day opportunity allows residents to make a donation to any of the foundation’s charitable funds. Foundation Director John Bell said established donors will match each donation dollar for dollar up to $15,000.
Patient assistance funds include the Cancer, Heart, Pediatric, Hospice, Mental Health, Diabetes and General patient assistance funds. Established programs include the Angel Garden, Art for Healing, Carmen’s Fund-CPR Education, Community Health, Epipen Program, Music for Healing, Pink Ribbon of Hope-Free Mammogram, Pet Therapy and others.
The Cookeville Regional Charitable Foundation helps several thousand residents of the Upper Cumberland each year who struggle with disease, sickness, or injury. The foundation also assists low-income and under-insured patients with things like medication, transportation, specialty equipment and other critical needs.
